A former customer from Ashford got back in touch after moving into a flat in Weybridge. The balcony door was letting in a lot of cold air and they asked me to see whether I could sort it out.
The flat itself was lovely, close to the marina and overlooking the river. The balcony door was less enjoyable. I was so focused on getting the thing adjusted that I completely forgot to take a photograph once the job was finished.
The door was fitted with four-inch butt hinges with no adjustment built into them, so the alignment work had to be done from the frame and keep side, together with heel-and-toe adjustment.
After roughly half an hour wrestling with one of the least adjustment-friendly doors I have come across, I got it aligned properly and locking as it should again. It comfortably made my top five hardest doors to adjust so far.
