A customer in Wrecclesham got in touch because a leaded double-glazed unit had been damaged and needed replacing.
The customer supplied some initial measurements, which were enough for me to prepare an estimated quotation. Once that had been agreed, I arranged a site visit to take the exact dimensions needed for manufacture.
Those final measurements were sent to the glass supplier so the replacement could be priced accurately and made to the correct specification. The customer approved the final quotation and the unit was ordered.
Several days later, the replacement glazing was ready. I returned to the property, removed the damaged unit and installed the new double-glazed panel.
The replacement matched the lead pattern of the smaller unit above it, so the finished window retained the original appearance rather than looking like an obvious mismatched repair.
