A customer in Ashford wanted a little more privacy and security for one of the bedrooms and asked me to install a lock on the internal door.
I talked through the available options, including the practical pros and cons of each type, and the customer decided on a 3-lever fire-rated deadlock.
I had the lock in van stock and installed it during the visit. The complete fitting took roughly an hour.
One practical downside with this style of deadlock is the traditional longer key, which is not everybody’s favourite thing to carry around. For this customer, however, the lock provided the extra privacy and security they wanted without needing a more complicated setup.
Once installed, I tested the lock and door operation and everything was working correctly.
