A returning customer in Farnham asked me to replace a damaged double-glazed panel in a conservatory door after a grass strimmer managed to smash one section.
The customer had already cleared the broken glass and boarded the opening, so my first visit was simply to take the exact measurements needed for the replacement unit.
The original panel was clear toughened glass with a standard silver spacer, so I ordered the new unit to the same specification.
Four days later the replacement glazing was ready from the manufacturer. I arranged the fitting for a time that suited the customer, removed the temporary board, cleaned the inner frame and installed the new pane.
Once the beads were refitted, I also adjusted the door so everything sat and operated properly again.
The conservatory door was back to normal with the replacement glazing fitted neatly and securely.
