A customer in Feltham called around midday after losing her house keys while shopping. She wanted me to open the door when she got back home, so I asked her to give me about 30 minutes’ notice and arranged to meet her there.
I had a chance to use a little tool I had made myself: a battery-operated, remote-controlled thumb-turner that works through the letterbox. Add a small camera to the end and it becomes a very useful bit of kit.
The door was open within a couple of minutes without drilling or damaging the lock. In fact, it took me longer to work out which direction the motor needed to turn than it did to open the door. ๐
A nice bit of non-destructive entry, and the customer was back inside with no unnecessary damage.
