The landlord of an apartment block in Feltham got in touch because the communal entrance door was no longer locking.
Once on site, I identified the problem, explained the repair and quoted for the work. The landlord agreed, and the parts needed for the repair were already in my van.
Someone had previously taken the lock apart so the tenants could continue using the door. Fortunately, it had been done neatly and all of the screws had been kept, which made putting everything back together much easier.
I fitted the required parts, reassembled the lock and tested the door. Around 10 minutes later, the communal entrance was locking properly again.
