A customer in Sunbury-on-Thames wanted the door lock changed after having problems with the existing one. While I was there, he also decided to replace the uPVC door handles because they were badly worn.
The lock could be dealt with straight away from van stock. I replaced the standard security cylinder with a 1-star British Standard lock that also had key-copy restrictions, giving the customer a more controlled replacement rather than simply fitting another basic cylinder.
The handles were a different matter. I carry black handles, but the size needed for this particular door was not one I had with me, so the correct set had to be ordered.
The new handles arrived the following day and I returned to complete the job. With the upgraded lock and correctly sized replacement handles fitted, the door was back in proper working order.
