A customer in Fleet got in touch after a break-in because a double-glazed window unit and the window handle needed replacing.
After a brief discussion about price and the lead time for the new glazing, they decided to go ahead. I visited the property to take the exact measurements needed by the glass manufacturer.
The customers were an elderly couple and were understandably still shaken by what had happened. The break-in itself had been unusual: whoever entered the property had climbed over a conservatory glass roof and broken through a small first-floor window.
The replacement glazing unit was manufactured within a few days. I returned once it was ready, fitted the new double-glazed unit and replaced the window handle at the same time.
The window was back together and secure again. The only unpleasant job left behind was removing the duct-tape residue from the temporary cardboard covering — that stuff is horrible to get off.
