A former customer in Staines got in touch asking for a lock replacement only a couple of weeks after I had fitted the previous one.
My first thought was that this might be a warranty issue, but once I saw the lock it was obvious that the problem was malicious damage rather than a fault with the hardware.
The damaged lock was beyond sensible repair.
I had the same replacement in van stock, removed the damaged cylinder and fitted the new one during the visit.
Before finishing, I checked the rest of the locking system carefully to make sure the damage had not affected any other components.
Everything else was operating correctly, so no further parts were needed and the door was left secure again.
